Edward was the son of Samuel Andrews (1640-1693) and Mary (Wright) Andrews. Samuel was the son of Edward Andrews (1619-1688) Lathbury, Buckinghamshire, England and Mary (Elliot) Andrews (born 1616) Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York.
He is the brother of Mordecai Andrews; the two brother settled what is now Tuckerton, New Jersey.
There may be no marker, but Edward is recorded in a partial listing of graves at Friends Cemetery, Tuckerton, in Leah Blackman's 'History of Little Egg Harbor,' from 1880, pages 206-208.
There is a source document that claims Edward was Alice Andrews' father. The Leah Blackman book and the Edward Higby and His Descendants book both look to that source document.
However, Mordecai lists his children in his will, and "Alice Mathews" (Alice Andrews Higbee Mathis--the name was changed from Matthews to Mathis) is among them.
She's also listed as Mordecai's daughter in the family bible.
