From Kelso, Washington. He earned a degree in engineering at the University of Washington after WWII. He worked for the Army Corps of Engineers, then joined the Boeing Co, where he remained until his retirement in 1974.
Passenger on the plane; Gremlin Special, he was seriously injured when the plane crashed while on a sight-seeing flight over Dutch New Guinea on his thirty-fourth birthday, May 13, 1945.
