Memorial for Mary Catherine Connell Born in Milwaukee, WI on Jul. 10, 1949 Departed on Jul. 8, 2010 and resided in Canfield, OH. Service: Friday, Jul. 23, 2010 & Saturday, Jul. 31, 2010 Cemetery: St. Paul's Cemetery. A memorial service celebrating the life of Mary Connell will be held at 1pm on Friday, July 23rd at St. Michael's Parish, Canfield, OH. Mary passed away at her home in Canfield on Thursday evening, July 8, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mary is survived by her husband, Patrick Connell, her three children Maureen (Isaac) Yue, Brian (Beth) Connell, and Meghan Connell and her beloved grandson Adam Yue. Mary is also survived by her Mother, Catherine Engibous, her brothers and sister, Bill (Kim) Engibous, Paul (Sara) Engibous, and Susan (Dan) Birch, 15 nieces and nephews and many other loving relatives and friends. Mary is preceded in death by her Father, William Engibous. Mary was born July 10th, 1949, in Milwauklee, WI. She was a graduate of Dominican High School (1967, Milwaukee, WI) and received a bachelors degree in Education from St. Norbert College (1971, Green Bay, WI), graduating Cum Laude. She was a member of the Theta Phi Alpha sorority. She also attended the Education graduate program at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Mary spent her career teaching and tutoring elementary school students and taught in the Milwaukee Public Schools, Robin Hood Lane in Boardman, OH, and St. Brendan's Parish School in Youngstown, OH. Mary was a passionate teacher and was well loved by her students. She was instrumental in shaping many of her students lives and remained connected with them well into adulthood. Mary was loved so much by her friends and family and her absence will be deeply felt by all. We rejoice in the amazing life that she lived and the impact that she had on us. We are relieved in the fact that she is now at peace. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery in Genesee Depot, WI. A memorial service will be held prior at St. Paul's Catholic Church at 1pm on Saturday, July 31, 2010. The family would like to thank the staff at MVI Homecare and Hospice for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that monetary contributions be made in the name of Mary Catherine Connell to MVI Hospice and the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation.
