Pippa....Dear, gentle and loving Pippa. Today you join your sister, Tess, at the Bridge to wait among the jubilant as we mere mortals mourn your absence in our lives.
It's a hard, hard thing, eased only by knowing your soft snuzzles will greet me someday and all those we miss - from your side of the Bridge and ours - will laugh and love at tearful reunions so long yearned for.
Pippa and her sister Tess are dwarf dumbo ratties, litter mates. Totally inseparable in life, the two of them were pure transformative joy in this old heart.
Little Pippa and I carried on as bravely as we could when Tessie left us. Pippa developed a tumor and had surgery, but it eventually returned and Mommy has been nursing her through these last several weeks, keeping her comfy, feeding her, making sure life was good.
I love you, Pippa Angel, and I miss you so.
