Marvin Bishop Vanhoose, 78, of Flatwoods, passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 17, 2013, at her residence.

She was born December 6, 1934, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Charles Gus and Lora Elkins Bishop.

She was a member of Temple Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, was a member of the church choir and served faithfully in many other capacities at the church. She was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother and great-
grandmother.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Kenneth Vanhoose, two brothers, and four sisters.

Survivors include her husband, B.J. Vanhoose of Flatwoods, daughters, Teresa G. Hoepker of Obetz, OH., and Connie Jo Vanhoose of Flatwoods, sons, Paul R. "Rusty" Vanhoose and wife Marsha of Flatwoods, and John W. Vanhoose and fiancée, Julie Baker of Russell, brother, David Bishop of Columbus, OH., sisters, Gladys Bishop of Columbus and Lorraine Clevenger and husband, Henry of Carroll, OH., seven grandchildren, Brian C. Vanhoose, whom she raised, and wife Racheal of Lexington, Nick Hoepker, Charlie Hoepker, Jessica Parsley Webb and husband Jeremy, Jared Watson, Samantha Vanhoose and Kevin Vanhoose, three great- grandchildren, Camryn Vinson, Evangelina Hoepker and Lillie Webb, dear friends, Martha and Harry Osborne of Flatwoods, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Funeral service at Temple Baptist Church, with Pastor James E. Pridemore and Pastor Ben Gentile officiating. Burial in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
