Charlotte "Lottie" Watters, age 84 of Chippewa Lake, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012. She was born November 28, 1927 in Mt. Pleasant the daughter of Andrew and Ann (Sarferfin) Pyrett. She married Wilbur "Bill" Watters on June 14, 1947 in Mt. Pleasant and they made their home in Chippewa Lake.

Lottie was employed at Consolidated Gas Company in Mt. Pleasant; she was the Co-owner of Watters Resort at Chippewa Lake for several years and had worked at the Ferris Bookstore in Big Rapids.

Lottie treasured the time she could spend with her granddaughter Zoey; she enjoyed watching birds, fishing, knitting and playing cribbage with her special friend Connie. Lottie loved dogs and was excellent at training them. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Evart.

She is survived by her son, Donald (Annette) Watters of Stanwood; 2 granddaughters, Jessica Watters in NC and Zoey Watters of Stanwood; one great-grandson; two step-brothers, Joseph (Jean) Stanwick of Mt. Pleasant, Frank Stanwick of Chicago; special sister-in-law, Thelma Pyrett Reed and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Lottie was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur "Bill" Watters in 1967; a son, Wesley Watters in 1987; two sisters, Mary Demski and Nellie Dibble; five brothers, Michael, Joseph, Jacob, Daniel and Victor; two step-sisters, Jean Wehr and Sophia Roder; three step-brothers, Adam and Walter Stanwick.

Funeral services for family and dear friends will take place 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 6th at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with Father Joe Fix officiating. There will be visitation one hour prior to services on Friday.

Memorial contributions in Lottie's name may be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
