CROSSLAKE — Keith Walter Anderson, age 50, of Crosslake, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at St. Cloud Hospital. Keith was born Jan. 25, 1962, in Chisago Lakes, Minn., to Kurt E. and Patricia (Israel) Anderson. He attended school in Scandia, Cottage Grove and moved to Crosslake in 1972 and graduated from Pequot Lakes in 1980. He was confirmed at Crosslake Lutheran Church where he was a member until his death.
He did many small jobs in his youth. He worked at Crosslake IGA as a bagger and meat cutter for some years before going to work for Crosslake Lumber and continued with Simonson Lumber. He was passionate about his job and enjoyed meeting people. He joined the Crosslake Fire Dept. after graduation and recently retired as chief.
Keith was many things but first and foremost a son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend. Nothing else meant more to him. He wore a big grin (most of the time) and everyone loved his sense of humor and big hugs. He will be sadly missed.
He is survived by wife, Brenda (Auer) Anderson; sons, Brandon and Chase; and daughter, Jordyn, all of Crosslake. Also surviving are his mother, Pat, of Crosslake; sisters, Chris, of Pequot Lakes, and Jenny, of Crosslake; aunts, Barb and Marge; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Kurt; grandparents; and father-in-law, John Auer.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 3 from 5-8 p.m. at Brenny Funeral Home in Crosslake. Funeral services will be at Crosslake Lutheran church on Thursday, Oct. 4 at 4 p.m. with visitation starting one hour prior. He will be laid to rest in Pinewood Cemetery in Crosslake.
