Mary graduated from Sardis High School in 1928. She was a homemaker and always took care of family members starting at the age of 12 with her invalid grandmother. She continued caring for family members throughout her life in her home and started working out of the home at age 71 and continued to age 89 taking care of the elderly with most people being much younger than she. She had a heart of gold and always put others first in every aspect of life. Mary was a wonderful cook and was known for her homemade bread and her huge kitchen table was always the gathering place for friends and family. Mary was one classy lady and was well known for always wearing high heels even to work in the garden. Her family looked up to her and relied on her great strength and wisdom. No words can ever express how she will be missed by her loved ones. It was a sad day on earth when she passed but a joyous day in Heaven when she arrived.
