eldest of 3 daughters of alvin m. and lydia crandall collins. she married 1 mark hoffman having 2 daughters w him, winnifred and alva. she married in multnomah co or in 1889 to edward s. williams, with whom she had ch conrad edward gurtrude, harriet, margaret angeline and phillip vernon .she came to oregon in 1870 and always remembered the hardships of that trip, talking about having to walk behind the wagon which could turn neither right nor left because of the ruts in the road and how there was so much dust that it took months to get rid of the cough that it gave her. i have a picture that will be posted soon.
