Mr. Herren was born March 19, 1921 in Silver Point, TN, son of the late Harrison and Melanee Anderson Herrin. He retired from Bibb Manufacturing Company after 40 years of service. Mr. Herrin was a member of Edgewood Church of Christ, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, during which time he was awarded many medals and commendations to include the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Herren was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Elouise, four sisters, and four brothers.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Starling and husband, Jerome of Columbus, GA; two grandsons, Mark Starling of Columbus, GA and Matt Starling and wife, Melaney of Reston, VA; two sisters, Rose Anderson and husband, Diberal of Cookeville, TN, Mildred Gentry and husband, Ralph of Winter Haven, FL; many nieces and nephews.
