BLANCHE BIEN Blanche Bien, 76, of 986 Martin Lane, died Saturday, August 25, 2001 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
Born December 1, 1924 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late William and Tazzie Williams Russell. She was a retired Genesco employee and was a member of Benton Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Gary (Rita) Herring, Harrodsburg, Coleman (Carolyn) Russell,Mt. Vernon; one sister, Jewell Proctor, Stanford; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 27 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, with Rev.Kirk Greenfield officiating. Burial was in the Williams Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Herring, Lester Dotson, Jeff Bowles, David Sams, Mike Lee and Terry Sears.
Memorials are suggested to the Benton Baptist Church.
