William (Bill / Sonny) Campbell passed away quietly with his family at his bedside. He was born in Morris, Ill., on Sept. 20, 1933 to Ethel and Edward Campbell. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a SSGT-E5 from 1951 to 1965.

William is survived by his wife of 10 years, Patricia. He also leaves behind two sons, James (Lorrie) Campbell of Pinole, Calif., and Jay Campbell of San Mateo; a daughter, Karen Belcher of Las Vegas; three stepsons, Allen Lockwood of West Hills, Calif., Richard (Jackie) Lockwood of Benicia, and Tracy (Annette) Lockwood of Vallejo.; two stepdaughters, Deborah Montoya (Monty) of American Canyon and Terri (Roger) Ringler of Seabeck, Wash.; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Bill was also an avid sports fan of The Oakland A's, attending games with his wife and family.

He had been a bowler for many years and was the president of his league. Bill worked for Chevron Oil for over 40 years and also was a manager for both McDonald's in Napa, CA., for 18 years.

Bill was a wonderful man with a kind heart and was loved by everyone who knew him. A private family celebration of life was held. Donations to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
