The funeral service for Nancy Anne Darnell, 66, will be at 11 a.m. today at Bett Baptist Church in Independence with interment in Jamison Cemetery. Darnell died Oct. 6. She was a member of Bett Baptist Church for 31 years. She was the widow of Gerald "Jerry" Darnell. She leaves a daughter, Glenda Ann Blackard (Paul) of Independence; brother, Earl Russell Jr. of Independence; grandchild, Kristin Blackard of Independence. She was preceded in death by a brother, James David "Tink" Russell, sister, Thelma "Hodgie" Darby.
