Maude, "Mom", resided in a nursing home in Aurora, Colorado at the time of her death. She resided in Chanute, Kansas for many years.
She was known by all friends and family as "Mom".
Her death certificate and grave stone say that she was born in 1886, ....but thorough research has proven that she actually was born in 1884.
She was the mother of Helen A. (Burtch) Bower and of Donald DeVere Strope.
Maude was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; and her daughter, Helen Bower.
