Fall Injury Proves Fatal to 81-Year-Old North County Resident
CHESTERTON, Ind. Mar. 7 - Mrs. Clara Wise, age 81 years, wife of Daniel Wise, died this morning at 10 o'clock at her home, 402 Jefferson avenue. Nine months ago she suffered injuries in a fall at her home, which was the cause of death.
She was born in Michigan on May 10, 1856, a daughter of Isaac Bell and Amelia (Conklin) Bell. When a small girl she moved to Porter county with her parents and settled in the Chesterton vicinity.
Sixty-three years ago she was united in marriage to Daniel Wise, who survives together with one daughter, Mrs. Pearl Hess, of Chesterton, five sons, Archer, Clarence, Everett and Lloyd, of Chesterton, and Milton, of Hammond; 20 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. One daughter died in infancy.
The body is at the Flynn funeral home, pending completion of funeral arrangements.
