In Memory of George Blakeslee Francis.
He was born in Wallingford, Connecticut, the son of Harley Francis and Lois Blakeslee.
He married Sarah E. Myer of New York in 1865. They had at least four children, only one of whom lived to adulthood and married.
First child Thomas Edward was born in 1866 and only lived one month. Third child, daughter Mary Lois Francis was born 1870, and died in 1871.
George, wife Sarah, and remaining children Austin and Anne moved to Ponca Nebraska by 1885. Anne passed away in 1892.
George and Sarah both appear in the 1900 census but he died later that year.
The only child who lived to adulthood was Austin.
