Lee Light Grumbine was born in Fredericksburg, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. He attended Palatinate College and Wesleyan University. He was a teacher and studied law. He was admitted to practice in 1884. He became principal of the School of Oratory and founder and editor of the Lebanon Daily Report. He wrote German-dialect poetry. He was a well-known Prohibitionist leader. He died in Lebanon.
