Evah Ann Conn, age 54, of Marysville died Monday, March 19, 2012, at Memorial Hospital of Union County with her family at her side following a courageous and hard fought fight against breast cancer.
She was employed in the accounting department at Farmer's Insurance for over 30 years and also worked part-time at the Short Stop Convenience store on North Main Street. Raised in the Lutheran faith, Evah was a 1976 graduate of Marysville High School. She appreciated living a simple life and found joy in reading Danielle Steele novels or attending softball games. Affectionately known as "Mamaw" to her grandchildren, Evah was a strong and amazing woman who served as a source of great strength, love, and inspiration to her family.
She was born February 18, 1958, in Marysville to the late Lutrelle and Caroline Holycross Dellinger. She was preceded in death by a niece, Tara King, and a brother-in-law, Jim Wagner.
Survivors include her husband of over 20 years, Jeff Conn, to whom she was married on December 20, 1991, in Marysville; her children, Kellie (Todd) Ferguson and Kira Simpson each of Marysville, Beau Conn and Karley Conn, of the home; a step-son, Nathan Conn, Brooklyn , New York; 5 grandchildren, Faith, Hope, Adam and Grace Ferguson, and Paige Simpson; 4 sisters, Gail (Kevin) Reames, Kathy Wagner, Carol Hinterscheid, and Jenny Stebbing, all of Marysville; her brother, Rick Dellinger, Marysville; her father-and-mother-in-law, Junior and Emma Jean Conn, Grove City; a brother-in-law, Chester (Sueann) Conn, Ironton; an aunt, Mary (Bill) Headings, Arizona; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Mannasmith Funeral Home where the funeral will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Reverend Scott Salee will officiate and burial will take place St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Beau Conn, Todd Ferguson, Rick Dellinger, Kevin Reames, Kyle Reames, Clay King, and Tobi Wilson.
