Lawrence "Larry" Galban, Jr., age 59 of Allen, Texas passed away on May 25, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on April 7, 1955 in Galena Park, Texas to Anita (Nunez) and Lawrence Galban. On March 16, 1974, Larry married Karen Gay Schoel in Dallas, Texas. He was a member of Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church in Allen, Texas.

Larry grew up in Farmers Branch and graduated from Carrollton R.L. Turner High School in 1973. He attended Braniff Automotive School and he worked as an Automotive Mechanic for Doran Chevrolet for 10 years. He also worked as a Supervisor for UPS for 28 years until he retired in 2010.

Larry enjoyed going to the park with his grandkids and working in the yard. He also enjoyed bowling, cooking, playing the guitar, playing the stock market and spending time with his family and grandkids.

Larry is survived by his wife, Karen Galban of Allen, Texas; three daughters, Amy Nicole Galban of Allen, Texas, Melissa Ann Prasatik (Jeremy) of Seattle, Washington and Traci Renee Davis (Chance) of Princeton, Texas; four grandchildren, Kaegen Davis, Ansley Davis, Isabella Prasatik and Jameson Prasatik; two sisters, Judy Lockhart (Steve) of Surprise, Arizona and Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Middleton of Mesquite, Texas; a host of other loving family and friends.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Anita Pena "Nunez" Johnson and Lawrence Galban Sr and sister, Rhonda Galban.

A Memorial Service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen on Wednesday, May 27, 2014 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Dennis George officiating.
