Judy Lue Roff Shepard, 73, of Brainerd, passed away Monday, July 11, 2011, at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center. She was born July 1, 1938, in Lake Hubert, Minn., to Leon and Emma (Trepp) Roff.
She was married to James Shepard Sept. 4, 1957.
Judy was a foster mom, deli manager at Tom Thumb and more recently a greeter at Wal-Mart.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Shepard; children, Glowetta (Keith) Bechard, of Brainerd, James L. Shepard, formerly of Brainerd, Carrie (Kevin) Stahl, of Brainerd, and Brent (Meggan) Shepard, of Nisswa; siblings, Emma Jean (Don) Hillier, of Gladwin, Mich., and Leon John (Jane) Roff, of Willows, Calif.; grandchildren, Chris Dau, Derek Dau, Kara Shepard, Kristin Stahl, Brianna Stahl and Jordan Stahl; several nieces and nephews; grandpuppies, Mattie and Frankie; and her special companion dog, Punkie.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Ermadale Wirt and Shirley Knapp.
Services will be held Friday, July 15, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, July 14, 2011, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Brainerd, Minn.
