Philomine Lavonne Eagle was born on March 1, 1954 in Sisseton, SD to Benjamin Robert and Ione (Goodbird) Eagle. She attended Sisseton grade school and graduated from Waubay High School in 1971. At that time she moved to Brocket, Alberta, Canada. She was united in marriage in 1972 to 1983 to Edward North Peigan. To this union Joseph, Stanford, Tracy and Josh were born. She was employed at Peigan Services Administration where she worked as an accountant at social services for 10 years. Bonnie returned to Waubay in 1984 and lived near Sisseton where she lived the remainder of her life with David Genia. From this union Thomasina, Sara, Jena and Carolyn were born. Her enjoyment was baking pies, taking care of her daughters and granddaughters and to be around her family. She enjoyed company and always making everyone laugh, she also enjoyed playing scrabble, crossword puzzles, bingo, playing slots, listening to oldies and to Sunday morning KSWS radio to Indian Gospel music and when she lived in Canada playing hand game. She was a wonderful homemaker. Mostly she was happy just to see her two sons Joseph and Stanford whom she missed for many years it was a fulfillment for her to know they were here by her side; that was her wish.
