Charlie was one of four children born to James Willoughby Freeman and Glendora G. (Dora) Leigh Freeman.

Charlie Freeman, 77, Rt. 2, Anderson, died at 10 a.m. today at ECM Hospital.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Anderson Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mitchell cemetery with Morrison-Elkins directing.
The body will lie in state at the church for one hour.
He is survived by two sons, Lynn Freeman and Elvis Freeman, both of Birmingham; a daughter, Mrs. Everett Word, Anderson; a brother, Tom Freeman, Mt. Hope; a sister, Mrs. Emma Sanderson, Florence; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
