Bob was the Grandson of my Great Aunt, Myrtle Leota (BURT) Dearth.

Bob was a PFC with Company "F" of the 325th Glider Infantry Regiment of the 82nd Airborne Division when he was killed.

The FIND A GRAVE city selector does not have it listed, but Bob was actually killed at a little village in the Normandy District, about 13 miles from Omaha Beach by the name of La Fièr on the Merderet River.

This is the information the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, has on Bob, and can also be obtained from NARA if you are a registered user of their database. I will post his obituary above this information. I have a copy of the telegram the Army sent to his folks when Bob was killed. I'm not sure I want to post something that personal.
