Funeral services for Felix Milton Horton were held on Saturday, October 21, 1961 at 2:00 p.m. from the Wolfe Funeral Home, with the Rev. E. T. Bodwell officiating. Mrs. Mabel Dunn was the organist and Mrs. Ralph Archer and Mrs. Frances Murphy were flower bearers. Casket bearers were Ralph Archer, Marvin Thurman, Francis Murphy, Ray Stamps, John Copelin, and Joe Northup. Interment was in the Arlington Cemetery
Felix Milton Horton, son of William and Mary Briscoe Horton, was born February 24, 1902 in Adams County, Iowa and passed away southeast of Villisca on October 18, 1961.
He was married in Maryville, Missouri to Hazel Kimpton on February 14, 1927 and to this union were born two sons, William of New Market and Tom of Red Oak, Iowa.
He leaves his wife and two sons, a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Ann, two grandsons, Billy and Randy; three sisters, Hazel Peterson of Villisca, Gladys Hyde of Norfolk, Nebraska, and Doris Wirth of Glenwood, Iowa; two brothers, Leonard of Lincoln, Nebraska and Clarence of Conroe, Texas. A brother, Earl, passed away several years ago.
