Edward Arthur Tisdale
Edward, son of George A. Tisdale and Julia Hockett Tisdale was born in Beleville, Ill. Aug 23, 1883 and died in Flora, Il Jan 7, 1955, aged 72 years, four months and 23 days.

He was united in marriage to Cora Mae Summitt in East St. Louis on June 24, 1903, and celebrated their Golden Wedding at their daughters home in Pocahontas, Il.

The family moved to Flora, Il., in 1913, and for many years Mr. Tisdale worked as an automobile mechanic. For a number of years, he held offices of and trust in the Flora Masonic Lodge, He was a Mason for forty-eight years; also a Past Nobel Grand of L.O.O.F., and a member of L.O.O.M.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Cora M., and the following children: Grace Brooks, and Marion Markey of Pocahontas, Julia Snyder and David of St. Louis, Mo. and Paul of Flora; and a sister, Mrs. Ella Zopfi, of St. Louis, Mo.

Two sons, Elmer and Edward preceded him in death.

There are Fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held at the Christian Church in Flora, Il. with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, with Masonic Honors.

Mr. Tisdale was a member of Knights Templar of Illinios and Gorin Commandary No. 14 of Olney, Il provided the Knights Templar escort.

For while the saddest thing in life,
Is that we all must part;
Yet memory will for years
And linger in the heart.
