Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jorgensen Bereft of Two-Year-Old son
Wayne Warren Jorgensen, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jorgensen, who was born Febr. 11, 1937, at Lake City, passed away May 18, 1939 at 4 a. m. at the Iowa City hospital, aged two years, three months and seven days.
After two weeks of serious illness and intense suffering, he quietly and gently passed away to the land where there is no pain or suffering.
Warren was a bright, vivacious child and will be greatly missed by his parents, his little brother six years old, his four grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Neils Jorgensen, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Schmidt and many other relatives and friends. He was baptized in the M. E. church Oct. 3, 1937, by the Rev. F. J. Robins.
Funeral services were held in the M. E. church Saturday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. J. W. Gruber.
Four little boys acted as pall bearers. They were Marvin Jensen, Raymond Stouten, Roger Snyder and Juanilla Remsburg. Miss Deloris Miller sang two solos, 'Jewels' and 'Beautiful Hands,' Mrs. D. L. Sandy at the piano. Burial was made in the Lanesboro cemetery. A poem written by a friend was read at the conclusion of the service.
