Mrs. Annie Jones Epps
Mrs. Annie Jones Epps of the Berea Community died in a Columbia hospital at 6:50 o'clock Friday afternoon following several years of declining health.
Mrs. Epps was born in Greenville County October 28, 1875, and was a daughter of the late Henry and Adeline (Bruce) Huff.
She was a member of Holmes Memorial Church.
Mrs. Epps was twice married, first to Joseph Bennett Jones, who died a number of years ago. From that union two sons survive: Russell B. Jones of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Gilbert W. Jones of Easley and one daughter, Mrs. J. D. Tollison of Dacusville. The second union was to R. R. Epps, who died some years ago. From that union two sons survive: Robert J. Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., and Woodrow Epps of Piedmont. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later from the offices of James F. Mackey and Sons, Morticians. The family is at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. D. Tollison, on the Farr's Bridge Road.
Pending the completion of funeral plans the body is at the mortuary.
