Retired veterinarian Dr. Marvin M. Corff died in his hometown of McMinnville on Friday, Feb. 11, 2005. He was 84.

At his request, no services were held.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on June 18, 1920, he was the son of Barnie and Etta (Rickman) Corff. He served in the War Dog Platoon of the 2nd Marines from 1943 until 1945, earning a silver star for valor.

From 1953 until 1983, he worked as a veterinarian with the Davis Animal Clinic.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, five children, three sisters and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a younger brother.
