Ronnie D. Cannon, 62, died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, in a local hospital. He was a native and life resident of Lake Charles. He was a member and served as business agent for Carpenters Local 953 for many years. At the time of his death, he served as a deputy for the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Department. He served in the Louisiana National guard. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Romona Launey Cannon of Lake Charles; one daughter, Missy Cannon of Lake Charles; two brothers, Howard Cannon of Moss Bluff and Ray Cannon of Lake Charles; and one sister, Mary Ann Dever of Big Lake.

His funeral will be at noon Saturday, Dec. 3, in Johnson Funeral Home. the Rev. Michael Stewart with officiate. A graveside service will be at 3 P.m. Saturday in Fontenot Cemetery in Pine Prairie. Visitation is 1-10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Saturday.
