George M. Ogilvie Sr.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Word has been received here of the death of George M. Ogilvie Sr. on April 5, 2004 in Rochester at the age of 82.
He was born in Scotland, son of Alex and Margaret Ogilvie, and came to America as a toddler. He attended the local schools and after graduation entered the Army and after completing his tour of duty in W.W. II he settled in Arizona where he lived for many years.
He is survived by three sons, George Jr., of Tempe, Ariz., Scott of Burlingame, Calif., and Bruce and his wife Kathleen of Hilton, N.Y.; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and cousins. He is also survived by his brother John and his wife Patricia of Bennington, Vt.
A memorial service will be held in Arizona at the convenience of the family.
Donations to his memory may be made to the heart fund, Second Chance Animal Shelter or a charity of one's choice.
