Harry H. Bradley of Warrenton, Mo passed away Sunday, Oct. 5, 1986 at St. Peters Community Hospital, St. Peters, Mo.
He was born Mar. 5 [sic], 1912 in Macon County, Mo. the son of Jose and Ethel Bradley. He grew up in the Gifford area, attended Stockton College, Canton, Mo., and studied Business Law and Commerce in Lincoln, Ne.
Harry came to Lancaster as a young man and was employed at MFA as bookkeeper. Here he met and married Vernadean Whitacre. Soon Harry was transfered to St. Louis as manager of MFA, and they resided there several years. He continued his work as an accountant. They retired to Lake View Estates, at Warrenton, Mo.
Harry and Vernadean were the parents of two sons, Jimmie and John L. Preceding him in death was a small son, Jimmy, a little grandson Mark Bradley, his father and mother, a sister Edna M. Begole and a brother Kenneth[.]
He is survived by his wife Vernadean, a son John and daughter-in-law Rosalee, two grandchildren, Trisha and Todd Bradley all of Moscow Mills, Mo.; two brothers, Milford Bradley, Dallas, Tx., and Clifford Bradley of St. Joseph, Mo., a sister Genevieve Johnson of Seattle, Wash. Many nieces and nephews, other relatives and a wide circle of friends.
Harry and Vernadean had the pleasure of observing their Golden Wedding Anniversary on Nov. 29, 1983 with family and friends around them.
Being an avid sports fan, Harry was especially fond of baseball. He was a quiet person, unassuming in nature, enjoying his home and family. He was a kind and loving husband and father, and a proud and doting grandfather of Trisha and Todd.
Services were held Thursday afternoon Oct. 9, 1986 at the Norman Funeral Home, in Lancaster, with the Rev. Stella Turner officiating. Musical selections were "Peace in the Valley" and "Perfect Day" with Guy Gardine soloist and Mrs. Ann Luther organist, both of Memphis, Mo.
Bearers and honorary bearers were nephews Glen, Hugh, Omer, Ivan, Ray Whitacre, Jack and Bill Whitacre, Max, Eugene and Rex Tomey.
Interment was in the Arni Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Normans.
