EDWIN CLYDE "BUDDY" PICKLER, 79, of Memphis, retired owner of Satellite Enterprises, died Tuesday at Methodist Healthcare-University Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Park Funeral Home woth burial in Memorial Park. He was a World War II and Korean War Marine Corps veteran, who received a Purple Heart, a 32nd Mason, a Shriner, a member and former deacon of Graceland Baptist Church, a member and former worthy patron of the Order ot the Eastern Star, a former member of the Colonial Country Club and a major league umpire and Golden Glove boxer. Mr. Pickler, the husband of Ann S. Pickler, also leaves two daughters, Patricia Dale Dowtin of Memphis and Deborah Ann Dyer of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sons, Edwin Clyde Pickler Jr. of Palm Harbor, Fla.,and William Roy Pickler of Memphis; a brother, Wyatt H. Pickler Jr. of Paris, Tenn., seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
