John 'Frank' Goodpasture, 52, of Atchison, KS, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, November 29, 2000 of an apparent heart attack at his home.
Mr. Goodpasture was born October 5, 1948 in Atchison, the son of George H. and Jaunita (McCartney) Goodpasture.
He attended schools in Bendena and Atchison. Frank had worked as a line supervisor for Unit Rail Anchor, Atchison, KS for over 22 years. He enjoyed woodworking, working on vehicles and tractors, and going fishing. He especially enjoyed his children and grandchildren.
Frank married LeAnna McCoole. They had three daughters. They later divorced.
He then married Pauline Zacharias on November 22, 1978 at Carol Baptist Church, Atchison. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include five daughters; Lori Barnett, Rushville, MO, Bobbi Lou Horton, Atchison, KS, Vicki Lynn Goodpasture, Huron, KS, Amanda Goodpasture, Atchison, KS, and Ashley Chapman of the home, his parents; George and Jaunita Goodpasture, Atchison, KS, four brothers; Henry Goodpasture, Rushville, MO, Tom Goodpasture, Atchison, KS, William Goodpasture, St. Joseph, MO, Cleo Goodpasture, Georgia, three sisters, Mary Wurzbacher, Atchison, KS; Twanda Chapman, Atchison, KS; Theresa Bartlett, Atchison, KS and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters; Sharon Kay Goodpasture Royer, and Georgia Patricia Goodpasture.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 3, 2000 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will be in the Round Prairie Cemetery, south of Atchison. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association.
