Mr. Waymon Augustus "Gusman" Jones, age 72, died Sunday at East Georgia Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a native of Bulloch County and a member of Historical First African Baptist Church. He was a member of the Eureka #1 Masonic Lodge, Savannah. He was owner and operator of Gusman's Records in Savannah for over 37 years. He served five years in the United States Navy.

He is survived by one son, Jaquil Jones, New Jersey; two sisters, Glenda Pearl Jones and Barbara Jones, both of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, the Rev. Patrick Jones, Statesboro, and Furman Jones, Washington, D.C.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Mr. Jones will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Historical First African Baptist Church with Rev. Bennie Brinson officiating. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church from 12 p.m. until the funeral hour. No viewing after the eulogy.
