DOG. Marley, became famous after the publication of the book "Marley & Me" by John Grogan. The book was followed by a movie starring Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston. This was followed up by numerous children's books depicting tales of Marley. He was a yellow labrador retriever. His american kennel club registration lists his official name as "Grogan's Majestic Marley". In the 1996 film "The Last Home Run" starring Seymour Cassel, Marley appeared on screen in two different scenes as the family pet. The scenes totaled less than two minutes frame time. He received a screen credit for his role. He was put to rest after suffering from gastric dilatation volvulus. He was buried at the families home near Allentown, Pennsylvania.
