The son of John Addison Dice and Ellenora Fulton Dice. A Methodist, he was a farmer, agricultural implement dealer and wagon master. He mustered in the Confederate Army on June 12th, 1861. He was a member of the Tenth Virginia Infantry, Company G, the Valley Guards. Wounded at Chancellorsville and disabled for duration of war. Paroled 5/19/1865 at Staunton. He married Rachel Addie Rivercomb 14 Nov 1867, Sangerville, Augusta County, Virginia. P. Henry was 5 feet, seven inches tall, had dark hair and black eyes.
