MOORESVILLE – Euwart Gaysen
"Jack" Howell, 86, went to be with the
Lord on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010.
Born June 13, 1924, in Bedford County,
Va., he was a son of the late Oliver and
Teadye Snow Leftwich Howell. Mr. Howell
was a retired welder for Blythe Brothers
of Charlotte. He was a member of Fieldstone
Presbyterian Church, Mooresville.

Mr. Howell was preceded in death by his
wife, Ruth Starnes Howell; and brothers,
Thorton, Artwin "Charlie," Oliver "Dick,"
and Gilcus Howell.

Mr. Howell is survived by his sisters,
Edith Eubanks, of Nags Head, Dorothy
Swindell, of Chesapeake, Va, and Tampa
Boggs, of Franklin, Tenn.

In his latter years, Mr. Howell was in the
company of fine friends and neighbors. Of
a special note is Evelyn Shumaker who
was not only a good neighbor but also a
fine caregiver.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 31, at Glenwood Memorial
Park, Mooresville, with Chaplain Delores
Spielman officiating.

of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road,
Statesville, NC 28625 and/or the Serenity
House, 110 Centre Church Road,
Mooresville, NC 28117.
Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville,
