Graveside services for Margaret Elizabeth Johnston, 95, of Tyler will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at 3 p.m. in Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Wells officiating under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnston passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. She was born Sept. 25, 1917, in Maude to Edgar and Pearl Mathis Finley. Margaret retired from the Texas Employment Commission after 18 years of service. Mrs. Johnston was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Johnston; and granddaughters, Ginger Johnston and Angelia Johnston. She is survived by her loving family including sons, Tommy Johnston and wife Evelyn of New Chapel Hill, Dale Johnston and wife Peggy of Tyler and Woody Johnston and wife Sonja of Whitehouse; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
