This is the obituary from the Toledo Blade for her husband Harry Walter
Harry Thomas "HT" Walter, age 81, of Toledo, Ohio, died Wednesday evening, August 17th, 2005, at The Toledo Hospital. He was born October 9th, 1923, in Toledo, the son of Harry V. and Katherine (Egelton) Walter. On June 15th, 1946, he married Esther S. Huner, who survives in Toledo. He graduated in 1942, from Libbey High School. He served in Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe as an Army paratrooper during World War II and received the American Theater Ribbon, the Bronze Arrowhead and Victory Medal.
He was a former Ohio State Highway patrolman. He was a graduate of Worsham Mortuary College, Chicago, Illinois and was the owner and operator of the Birkenkamp-Walter Funeral Home of Toledo for more than 40 years.
Surviving also are two sons, Craig (Ellen) Walter, Toledo; Scott Walter, Napoleon; one daughter, Jan Ellen (John) Haar, Toledo; one brother, Jim Walter, Rota, Spain; six grandchildren, Lisa (Michael) King, Eric Walter, Todd (Kristie) Walter, Aaron (Sarah) Walter, Anthony (Angela) Marquis and Jaime Marquis; two step-grandchildren, Alison and Michael Van Horn; five great-grandchildren, Thomas King, Matthew King, Carly Marquis, Hannah King and Jackson Doyle Walter and his special boston terrier, Mickey. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jack Walter.
The family will be attending the 10:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday, August 21st at St. Lucas Lutheran Church, Walbridge St., Toledo, Ohio and give special thanks to Pastor Billmeijer and Rev. John Berger for their support over the years. The interment will be made during a memorial service at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date and time. The family has suggested in lieu of flowers that the memorial contributions may be made to Senior Options at Larc Lane: 1155 Larc Lane, Toledo, 43614. Arrangements are in care of Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio (419)592-6015.
