Kenneth M. "Pops" Bradbury, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013, at the Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. Pops was born in East Boston in 1930, the son of Martin Bradbury of Torbay Newfoundland and Margaret (Crowley) Bradbury of Harbor Main Newfoundland. Pops grew up in Torbay and came to Boston to work as a commercial fisherman as a many young Newfoundlanders did to fish the North Atlantic Cod.
He is survived by his wife Mary M. (Kerrivan), his children, Cindy Cummins and husband Brian of Weymouth, Deanna Roberge and husband Mark of Malden, Sharon Bradbury of Weymouth, Jay Bradbury and wife Cathy of Revere, Linda Bradbury and Joseph Dollmont of Newfoundland, Kenny Bradbury and wife Linda of Saugus, James Bradbury and wife Deborah of Malden, Peggy Dempster and husband Shawn of Oxford, Stephen Bradbury and wife Daniela of Halifax, Nova Scotia and Amy Bradbury of Newfoundland, his grandchildren, Joseph, Maura, Erin, Brendan, Molly, Jennifer, Maggie, Brittany, Elizabeth, Megan, Katie, Matthew, Emily, Nicholas, and Victor, and his great grandchildren, Andrew, and Joseph S. Jr.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main Street, Malden on Thurs, Feb 14th, at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery, West Roxbury, MA.
