| Birth: | Nov. 16, 1921 Cecil Franklin County Arkansas, USA | | Death: | Aug. 2, 2007 Lansing Ingham County Michigan, USA | My grandma was born to Ella Elvira Volentine Milam and Alonzo Isaac Milam . She had Four sons And two Daughters Dan , Don , Diana , David , Monte ( Who she is laid to rest next to )And her baby girl Linda. She had one sister Minnie who she adored and her loving brothers Shipman , M.T. , Sterling and Ray (Bo) . She was the Mama of the neighborhood a safe place to go with always an open ear to listen . She retired from MSU and she had to be the best cook they ever had , she did not stop their you never left her house hungry. My grandma was so caring , loving and the most gentle women I ever knew I don't think she was ever mad . you could sit for hours and listen to her childhood stories about the South. My Dad tells a story how in the summer heat my grandma would stay up half the night cooling them with a hand held fan . That was the kind of women my grandma was . Everyone says she is in a better place and not suffering anymore And I agree but it does not make me stop missing her and will never fill the hole left in my heart ........ I should add my grandma loved gardening she always had the best flowers and she also had 15 Grand-children and 30 plus great grand-children . With all My Love grandma
