Enlisted: Oct 14,1861 at Venango Co, PA. at age of 21.
Mustered into Co "I" 4th PA Cavalry with his brother George, who was 24 years old. Both held the rank of private.

Both Isaac and George were captured and sent to Andersonville POW camp. Isaac died of scurvy a week after his brother George died.

Both are buried at Andersonville Prison Cemetery.
