Olive Walden
JUNCTION CITY — A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, at the First United Methodist Church in Monroe for Olive C. Walden of Junction City, who died Feb. 10 of age-related causes. She was 91. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at McHenry Funeral Home in Corvallis. A reception will follow the memorial service.
She was born April 10, 1919, in Pilot Rock to Richard and Claudina Harrison Kirchoff.
She retired from clerical work at Oregon State University and worked as a pianist for the First United Methodist Church in Monroe for more than 40 years.
Survivors include a son, Richard Walden of Junction City; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Her husband, George Walden, died in 1962, and a son, Paul Girouard, died in 2002.
Burial will be at Oak Lawn Memorial Park in Corvallis. Remembrances to Heartland Humane Society.
