Edna Mae Shively, 86, of Bellview Avenue, Fairmont, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001 at Fairmont General Hospital. She was born April 16, 1914 in Fairview, daughter of the late Joseph and Emma McCoy Caton. She had retired as a dental assistant to Dr. Jack Hayhurst and Dr. M.E. Brown. She was also a former employee of Hartley's and Jones Department Stores in Fairmont. She was a member of the Highland Avenue United Methodist Church and the Fairmont Moose. Sh e enjoyed attending the Senior Center at Bellview. A dog lover, she supported the Marion County Animal Shelter and other organizations to protect animals. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. She is survived by several cousins and a very good friend, Wayne Shively. Friends may call at Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11 until the 11 a.m. service, with Rose Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
