Edgar Allison Kimball
Birth: Jun. 13, 1822
Death: Apr. 12, 1863

Civil War Union Army Officer. He served as Lieutenant Colonel of the 9th New York Volunteer Infantry. He was shot and killed by Union General Micheal Corcoran when he aided a sentry in refusing to allow the General's party to pass, since no one in the party had the correct countersign.
