James Thomas Barry was born on December 11, 1890, in Jobstown, NJ, to Thomas Barry and Ellen Boylan Barry. He was the oldest of two children. His sister Mary S. Barry Hart was born in 1892 just before his mother passed away. Jim went to live with his father and Mary went to live with her grandfather James Boylan. Even though they lived apart growing up they always remained close throughout their lives. Jim married Anna Marie Burke on February 10th, 1923, and they had one son, John Burke Barry. Their son John married Elaine Burnham and they had five children who were a big part of Jim & Anna's life. Jim Barry was a wonderful man and very well liked throughout his community. Jim had many different jobs throughout his life, but his last job was working for the Sacred Heart Parish in Mount Holly, NJ, where he also was a parishoner. Jim is buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hainesport, NJ, with his wife Anna Burke Barry, his mother and father Thomas & Ellen Boylan Barry, and his daughter-in-law Elaine Burnham Barry.
