Barbara Elaine (Perry) Johnson, age 65, of Eden Prairie was born on January 21, 1947, in Minneapolis, MN and passed away on July 28, 2012, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Preceded in death by parents Paul and Elaine (Holmgren) Perry and brother Steven Perry.
Survived by life partner Cal Lepp; daughters, Sara Kelley (Brian) and Jennifer Lorinser (Paul); grandchildren, Caroline and Jack Kelley, and Anna and Gavin Lorinser; siblings, Debra Perry, Mark (Sue) Perry, Bruce Perry, Jeff and Diane Lepp; and many other relatives.
Barb's family was the most important part of her life. She loved them very much. In addition, Barb was the family historian having started her genealogy research in 1997. She was proud of her Swedish heritage. She was also an avid reader and a Civil War buff. She served on the Board of Directors of the Chisago County Historical society, and helped bring information out of books and local newspapers to make them available on the internet. She also volunteered for many historical society events.
We wish to thank Dr. Cathleen Chen, and medical staff Mary, Sarah, Amy, Lisa and many other doctors and nurses at Park-Nicollet Methodist. Thank you to Pastor Susan Weaver and all her help during Barb's last days. We also wish to thank Caring Bridge and the many family members and friends who kept up with her site. She left us too soon and will be missed by everyone who ever knew her. We are forever changed by her courage, grace, love and incredible spirit.
