Louie Barron officiating. Burial was in Edom Cemetery, Edom. Mrs. Colley died Jan. 7 in Chandler. She was born May 3, 1917, in Van Zandt County to the late Harris and Ollie Fulgham Brantley. She grew up in the Edom area and worked for Brownsboro Independent School District for a number of years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Brownsboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Vardaman Colley in 1998, and sister, Fairy Palmer in 1963. Survivors include sons, James Colley, Ben Wheeler, Bobby Colley, Sulphur Springs, and Larry Colley, Bishop; daughters, Shirley Gibbs, Monahans, Marilyn Smith, Murchison, Arleeta Inman, Point, Molly Campbell, Timpson, Glenda Bearden and Marsha Stephens, both of Brownsboro; brothers, Morris Brantley and Shirley Brantley, both of Edom; 29 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
