This couple lived in their later life in Hot Springs, AR. They had taken a young boy into their family and he is shown on the census with them as surname Norvell. But on the last census this couple was alive, the young man now has taken the surname of Reeves. It is believed that they raised him and then shortly before they died they did actually adopt him. There is a story that the mother had died and the father was a traveling fiddle player and decided he could not take care of the child and somehow the Reeves couple were given possession of him. The son, John Wesley Reeves, did have a large family that moved from AR to AZ due to the poor health of one of the children. They moved by two wagon teams.
