Shaneyfelt Funeral

TONEY-A double funeral for Hubert Floyd Shaneyfelt 25, and his daughter, one year old Sherry Jane Shaneyfelt, both of Rt.2 Toney, who were killed Sunday in an automobile accident near Toney. Service will be held at New Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Mitchell officiating.
Burial will be in Byrd Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Barbara Ann Carpenter Shaneyfelt, his parents, Mr & Mrs Millard Shaneyfelt of Gurley, nine sisters; Mrs Mable Talley of Montgomery, Mrs Ann Jarrett of Sidney Ohio, Mrs Peggy Lane of Gurley, Mrs Barbara Denton of Huntsville, Mrs Elsie Green of Toney, June Shaneyfelt, Shirley Shaneyfelt, Judy Shaneyfelt & Patricia Shaneyfelt of Gurley & two brothers, Walker Shaneyfelt of Owens Cross Roads Al., and Ralph Shaneyfelt of Gurley Al.

THE HUNTSVILLE TIMES
A Madison County man and his year-old daughter were among four other persons who were killed in traffic accidents and two Alabamians were killed in out of state mishaps.

Hubert Shaneyfelt, 25 and his daughter, Sherry Jane Shaneyfelt were killed when the car in which they were riding collided with a car driven by Gene McCoy of Fayetteville, Tn., near Toney. The accident occured at 1:50 pm.

Shaneyfelt was dead on arrival at Huntsville Hospital and the child died two hours later.

The accident occurred on County Rd.#11, McCoy was unhurt in the accident.

Hubert & Sherry are buried next to her great grandparents, James Thomas Carpenter & Nannie B. Maples Carpenter, our parents gave their burial plot to them.
